The School Netball League has begun, and Holy Name Convent has two teams proudly representing them, one is  an under-16 team and the other is an under-14 team. This Tuesday the under-16’s did not have their first match due to the rain, it was postponed till a date that is yet to be determined, the under-14’s also had their first match against St. Francois Girls College at the Jean Pierre Complex unfortunately they lost 5-12. One of the players of the under-14 team, Maya Richards had this to say concerning the League opening and their first game,

“This is my second year playing for Holy Name’s Netball team and I am very excited about the new League starting” she also commented on their game ,”It was a very hard game but we all worked hard.”

One of the under-16 players also had something to say concerning both the Opening of the League and their game being postponed her name is Jourdan Mc Leod,

“I am very excited about the Season opening back, and we are hoping to win this year” she also commented, “I was disappointed that we did not get to play our game this week, I was looking forward to playing.”

The under-14 team has a next game against Diego Martin North Secondary School’s under-14 team on Monday 3rd October and also a game against Providence’s under-14 team on Thursday 6th October. The under-16 team also has a game against Diego Martin North Secondary School’s under-16 team on Tuesday 4th October.
