“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”- John C. Maxwell

Holy Name Convent ushered in the new year, 2026, with Holy Mass followed by the annual Handing Over Ceremony.

On Thursday, 15th January 2026, The student body and staff gathered in the Marian Hall for our official Handing Over Ceremony. The Handing Over Ceremony is a formal ceremony and celebration where we acknowledge our outgoing student leadership body and install the incoming leadership body. In Holy Name Convent, student leadership is a role of honour, responsibility and growth for  Sixth Form students as they mature into young women of worth.

The Master of Ceremonies, Mr Durham, in his welcome address, reminded the new student leaders that leadership is about service to others and not simply about holding a position or wearing a badge. This message was also echoed in the sentiments shared by Ms. Charles in her address to the outgoing leadership body.

Our incoming Student Leadership Body 2026-2027 is as follows:

HEAD GIRL AND VICE HEAD GIRL

We congratulate Jalene James and Caylee Sylvester on accepting their new roles as Head Girl and Vice Head Girl. As the mantle is passed by outgoing Head Girls Serbira Miller and Maya Cox, these esteemed positions come with great responsibility and challenges. Our school is confident that Jalene and Caylee will lead with dedication and integrity as they embark on their journey as leaders for the coming year.
