With the end of the school year drawing near, the students of form 3 venture into an important part of their secondary school career which is the selection of their subject choices. These important subject choices are not to be taken lightly and require a great amount of thought. It is at this point where students decide what they want to be when they get older and what career path they hope to pursue. Also at this time, students sit a Biology, Chemistry and Physics exam to see if they will be accepted into the science of their choice .
Earlier in the term, there was a “Career Week” where professionals from different careers came to visit HNC to provide information, answer important questions and also provide a bit of guidance when it comes to choosing a career. From science subject entrance examinations to making long term life decisions and fast approaching NCSE exams, it is understandable why the students of form 3 may be under a great deal of stress.
However with the guidance of the form 3 Dean, Mrs. Soo Ping Chow, subject choices may not be as scary as we think!
