After long hard gym sessions on afternoons after school and early morning water trainings on a Sunday the Holy Name Convent Water Dragons managed to place 2nd in the all female small boats category at the annual High Sierra Schools Regatta. The girls competed against Bishops and St Francois, loosing to St Francois by less than a second.
The team consisted of Eden Aqui, Caroline De Son Pere, Megan Darwent {Co-Captain}, Tjshana St Cyr, Andrea Deosaran {Co-Captain}, Gabrielle Rooks, Justine Joseph, Kiara Cheekes, Thais Cummings, Sydney Solomon, Barbara Arjoon, Isha Fernandez, Elyse Dash {Drummer}, “Uncle” Courtenay Rooks {Helmsman}. The team made a big improvement since the last regatta where the placed 3rd. The girls have come a long way and we are excited to see them bring home the gold in the up coming regatta in October!
