October is a special month at our school, where we gather daily to pray the Rosary, deepening our faith and honouring the Blessed Virgin Mary. This cherished tradition brings moments of peace and reflection, uniting us in meditation on the life of Christ and His mother. Each week, we pray in a different language, embracing the diversity of our community and the universal nature of our faith.
This tradition of praying the Rosary daily in October allows our student body to embrace the foreign languages taught at the school. In the second week, we pray in Spanish, offering a connection to Latin American and Spanish cultural roots. The third week shifts to French, providing an opportunity to experience prayer as it’s said in parts of Europe and Africa. For the rest of the month, we return to English, allowing us to deepen our understanding of the Rosary’s mysteries while reinforcing the values shared across our community.
The Power of Daily Prayer
Praying the Rosary daily provides a calming start to each day, bringing students and staff together in shared devotion. It helps us connect across different languages, celebrating both diversity and unity in our faith. The Rosary also encourages us to live with compassion and humility, guided by Mary’s example.
Honouring Mary and Growing in Faith
October is dedicated to Mary, and our prayers seek her guidance and protection. This daily practice strengthens our bond with her, reminding us to carry forward the spirit of prayer and community throughout the year. Our tradition is a simple but powerful way to grow in faith together.
